History

Hobbits Mk. I:
Ronny g v
Vegard b
Lon d

Started out in the basement. The songs were great from the start, but musical training was lacking in this school-mate lineup.

Hobbits Mk. II:
Ronny g v
Vegard b
Lon d
Kari v

The arrival of babe Kari on the vocals let Ronny concentrate on his guitar-playing. That helped a lot.

Hobbits Mk. III:
Ronny g v
Vegard g
Joachim d
Ingunn b
Kari v

Joachim Varvin brought a quantum leap in drumming-ability, and babe Ingunn signed on for the bass-job, straight out from an AKKS course and years of accordion and classical singing. Hobbits started to sound like music. This lineup played two OK gigs, before Joakim and Kari moved down south, and Ingunn moved to Zimbabwe.

Hobbits Mk. IV:
Ronny g v
Vegard g
Lon d
Erlend b

Vegard's little brother Erlend crashed in, picked up the bass end revved up the Hobbits-sound dramatically. A veteran from speedmetal and hardcore bands like Hulck, Goblinoid and Thunder Boys, he brought a metal-edge, so unlike Ingunn's steady woman-thumping. Lon stepped in again for a short while, had improved, but not enough.

Hobbits Mk. V:
Ronny g v
Vegard g
Ole d
Erlend b

After a while, Hobbits found their new drummer on the net. Fresh in town, but certainly not so in the drumming game. Rapid-fire kick-drum and a power unheard of in Hobbits made for the most hard-hitting Hobbits to date.

Hobbits Mk. VI:
Ronny g v
Vegard g
Oddgeir d
Erlend b

Ole returned to duty on his old progrock outfit Seid, enter laidback Svartlamon-dweller and carpenter Oddgeir. The sound eased, but the ambitions didn't.

Hobbits Mk. VII:
Ronny g v
Vegard g
Oddgeir d
Terje b

Erlend moved to Verdal, Terje from Dumhetens Hær and ex Indian Garden joins.
